Our expectations of you
We would expect you to treat all members of staff with respect. We expect you to keep the practice informed of your current contact details, and advise us as soon as possible if you are unable to keep an appointment.
If you are an NHS patient, we will provide treatment for you in accordance with the rules and regulations of the NHS.
Policies
If you are unable to keep an appointment, you must let us know as soon as possible. If 3 or more appointments are missed or cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice within an 12 month period, we may remove you from the NHS list, and would no longer be able to provide treatment for you. The NHS does not currently allow a missed appointment fee to be taken.
If you do not complete a course of treatment with the practice, after a period of 4 weeks from your last appointment and if no further appointments are scheduled, the course of treatment will be deemed to be complete. This may affect the charges under the NHS system when you return for further treatment.
If you are a private patient of the practice, and you are unable to keep an appointment, you must let us know as soon as possible. The practice may make a charge for an appointment that was missed or cancelled without 24 hours’ notice.
The current charge is £10 per 30 minute of appointment time.
For both NHS and private patients, your treatment plan will be discussed with you and a written record will be given.
Methods of payment
An estimate of the cost of proposed treatment will be provided at your examination appointment. Payment is required to cover your examination on the day of your check up appointment. If for any reason the treatment plan changes during the course of treatment, we will give you an updated treatment plan.
